Hi again, I’m Nicole Dean, and today is Day Five in my series of Guest Posts about “Productivity when Working from Home”. Today I’ll share one of the biggest mistakes you can make as an online entrepreneur.
Doing everything the SLOW way.
Let me give you an example from your day to day life.
Do you scrub all of your clothes in a stream on a washboard and then carry them back home in a basket and then hang them out to dry on the clothesline?Motivation, Productivity | Tags: Nicole Dean, wahm productivity, wahm working from home | Comments (3)
Hi, I’m Nicole Dean, and I’m guest blogging here on Lexi’s blog this week as part of my Summer Blog World Tour. This is Day Four in my “How in the World can You be Productive when you Work from Home” series.
Yesterday I talked about making a to do list for yourself and how that simple activity can help you to get more done every day. If you haven’t read that post yet, check it out here: Productivity: A Daily Action List
Today, I’d like to talk about giving the kids their own jobs to help you better focus. My kids are 7 and 12, but, I’ve been working from home since 2001, so I’ve been home with little ones long enough to share battle stories. But, let’s make sure to clear one thing before I begin. I surely don’t want to sound like I know it all. Anyone who has been to my house knows that I do not have it all under control. Not even close.Motivation, Productivity | Tags: kids wahm, Nicole Dean, working from home with kids | Comments (5)

Sometimes in life, you get stuck. You get into a rut. You may know it or not, but you will most likely stay there. It’s nice and comfortable and safe there. But it doesn’t change the face that you’re stuck. What’s holding you back? How can you move forward?
We found out many of the answers this week. Today we concluded a week-long breakthrough session in Mom Masterminds with our business mentors, Kelly McCausey and Lynette Chandler, and life coach Aurelia Williams. Every morning this week, we had an hour-long teleconference to discuss various issues that could be getting in the way of growing our businesses. Kelly and Aurelia kept the topics a surprise to us each day so we would not come to the teleconference with our preconceived notions. As a result, our minds and hearts were open and we candidly explored our feelings, attitudes and behavior.
We covered the following topics:Motivation, Productivity, Resources | Tags: business planning | Comment (0)
A couple of weeks ago, I wrote about decluttering my business plan and deciding to focus on learning. Well, I have no problems whatsoever with learning – I love to study. I do have a problem with ACTING. And recently, I found myself devouring Internet marketing courses, blogs of people I admire, and doing so many other things in the name of “learning” … but not doing much to apply anything.
So today I made another decision: time to stop just “reading about” and start “acting on”.Motivation | Tags: internet marketing planning | Comment (0)
